World Champion

Sherif started practicing para powerlifting at the age of 16 in the Police Sporting Federation in 2005. In that same year, he joined the Egyptian National Para Powerlifting Team. In 2006, Sherif won his first international medal in South Korea during the World Championship by winning a silver medal. After this accomplishment, Sherif joined Telecom Egypt Sporting Club and started his world dominance by winning 3 consecutive gold Paralympic medals. The first one was during the Beijing 2008 Paralympic games, then London 2012,and finally Rio de Janeiro 2016. Sherif also won the silver medal in the latest Paralympic games in Tokyo 2020. Today Sherif is undergoing intense training to prepare for the coming Paralympic Games that will take place in Paris 2024.
